Become A Dealer

Below are the requirements for TrainWorld to review your application for our dealer program:

  1. Have an active account on our website with a credit card on file.
  2. Sales tax ID, Federal Tax ID Number and retail sales license
  3. Valid email address
  4. Active credit card for use on the website.
  5. You must purchase at least $10,000 US worth of products each year to maintain your dealer status.
  6. We require a minimum previous order amount of $1,000 US before acceptance as a TrainWorld dealer.
  7. Potential dealers must fulfill the following requirements:
    1. A physical retail location. (send photos of the interior and exterior of the store)
    2. A current advertisement from a major model railroading or hobby magazine (send a copy of the ad)
  8. A dealer MUST meet all Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) requirements from manufacturers. If a manufacturer requires MAP pricing, you may only advertise the MAP price and can only sell the product for a lower price upon customer request. Online stores may also offer a secondary link that requires the customer to interact with the product page to receive a lower price. (EX: "Add to Cart for our price") this is the electronic equivalent of asking for your price.
  9. Returns must go directly to the manufacturer. TrainWorld does not accept returns for resellers or other dealers. Any issue with the product must be handled by the manufacturer.

If you believe you fulfill the above requirements to become a dealer please complete the following steps:

  1. Email copies of the required information to: Orders@TrainWorld.com 
  2. Create an account on our website here.

This account will contain all of your current billing and shipping information. Upon approval of  TrainWorld Dealer Status, you will be emailed with additional program details. Please do not place orders until you have been approved.

Please Note:

  • We reserve the right to discontinue or cancel a dealer account for any reason including if requirements are not maintained or valid complaints are received.
  • Requirements and / or policies may be amended or edited at any time, without advance notice, at our sole discretion.
  • Due to fraud and shipping logistic concerns, we do not drop-ship dealer orders to their clients.
  • Discount coupons from emails, newsletters, website banners, etc. are not applicable to dealer orders. No further discounts are applicable.
  • Certain manufacturers or products are and can be excluded from our dealer program.
  • Items with a short discount will be excluded.
