The obliteration of the H&M identity did not end with blue stickers on the black cars. The K-cars didn't have ball logos, instead the full Hudson & Manhattan name was spelled out on the car sides. Again decals were the quick answer, this time in a long white stripe affixed over the H&M name on either side of the center door. The all-pervading blue sticker completed the make-over on the ends. Class MP-51 cars, however, were still the property of the Pennsylvania Railroad and remained in their as-delivered paint scheme as in this August 1963 view at Harrison.
