Kato 2-194 HO 212-252mm (8 3/8”-9 9/10”) Expansion Track

An often requested addition to Kato’s HO UNITRACK product line (in particular with those
involved with modular groups), Kato USA is happy to announce that an Adjustable expansion
track piece will be available starting next year!
Capable of smoothly changing lengths from between 212mm (roughly 8 3/8”) and 252mm
(roughly 9 9/10”), this expansion track is perfect for filling gaps in your layout that a standard
piece of track won’t fit, or for connecting multiple track modules together where you gap
distance can vary greatly from connection point to connection point, thanks to it encompassing
the NMRA module layout standard of 9”.
This new track component has been designed with a seamless rail transition construction that
will provide a smooth running surface no matter the weight of your engines and cars, while
imitating the appearance of real-world prototypical “breather” or rail expansion joints.
