US Territories that do not qualify for shipping prices including, but not limited to (Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and APO Boxes) will be charged the actual cost of shipping (PLUS a $2.00 handling fee).
Orders that require more than one parcel for delivery will incur additional shipping charges. Customers with multiple parcel shipments will be charged the actual cost of shipping (Plus a $2.00 handling fee).
Oversized And/Or Heavy Packages
Oversized and/or heavy packages that have dimensional weight charges will incur additional shipping charges as imposed by all shipping carriers (FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL). Customers will be charged the actual cost of shipping (Plus a $2.00 handling fee). Items may include, but not limited to: Transformers, Track, Sets, Expansion Packs, and more. Call for details. Please Note these types of orders will incur additional freight charges and will be added by TrainWorld at the time of order processing and will not be reflected on the final order checkout page.
High Value Pacakges $1,000 or Greater
Orders with a value of $1,000 (USD) or greater will be shipped "Signature Required."
TrainWorld Management reserves the right to send any package "Signature required as they see fit. If you are concerned about having a shipment with a required signature, please use the "Additional Order Information" field to express your concern, or call us at 1-800-541-7010 for further assistance.
If you call TrainWorld and ask to have a parcel re-routed, you will be assessed a $25 re-routing fee. This includes parcels that are re-routed to FedEx and UPS locations. Unfortunately, shipping couriers charge for these additional services.
**We recommend a minimum order of $25.00 for shipments in the Continental United States as the minimum shipping starts at $9.99**

Occasionally, orders may be held due to a transfer of inventory between warehouses. For consumer protection, all orders are subject for review, including credit card authorization and verification. As a result on occasion there may be a slight delay in order processing; your patience is greatly apreciated. If your order is time sensitive, please inform us at the time of order.
In an ever increasing effort to protect our customers, we have implemented the following policy for orders. Orders over $200.00 (USD) must be sent to the "Billing Address" that the bank has on file. Or we can send it to your local UPS Customer Care Center for pickup - where ou will need government issued ID, (Example: Drivers License), in order to pick up your parcel. TrainWorld does not ship to Hotel's, Motel's, or Bed and Breakfasts. Other Restrictions may apply.
Shipping to P.O. Box/APO Box
If you have chosen to ship your parcel to a P.O. or APO Box, the delivery service must be provided by the USPS. No exceptions. Shipping to a P.O. Box or APO Box will incur additional fees.
FedEx/UPS next day, two day, and three day shipping, where available, are an additional cost. Some areas including, but not limited to Alaska and Hawaii do NOT have three day service available. If you select an express shipping service that is unavailable in your area, TrainWorld reserves the right to choose an alternate method/service to ship your parcel(s). Please note that express shipping services do not include a "money back guarantee". If you have not received the level of service you have selected during check-out, you may contact us at email@example.com to seek a resolution.
- 3rd Business Day Air (Expensive)
An ideal mix of economy and expedited delivery. Perfect for less time-sensitive shipments.
- 2nd Business Day Air (Very Expensive)
Ideal for shipments that do not need overnight service. Delivery occurs 2 business days after the date of shipment.
- Next Business Day Air (Most Expensive)
Ideal for shipments that must arrive earlier in the business day. Delivery occurs 1 business day after the date of shipment.
Express Shipments are only serviced on regular business days. Please note that UPS, FedEx. DHL and the USPS do not pick up parcels from Trainworld on Saturday, Sunday or certain national holidays. This means that any order submitted after 12:00 PM EST on Friday may not be processed or shipped until the next business day (Monday). Express Shipping Services will not be applied to backordered items. Although we try, TrainWorld may not process and ship your order the day that you've submitted it. For this reason, you must account for the time that you are submitting your order as well as the specific shipping guidelines set forth by each courier. If you are placing a time sensitive order and have further questions about Express Shipping Services, please call us at 718-436-7072 during our hours of operation, or you may contact the courier of your choice for additional information.
International Shipping (Outside of the Continental United States):
Most Economical -Trainworld reserves the right to ship using the courier of our choice: USPS, FedEx, DHL or UPS.
First-time international orders will are not to exceed a value of $250.00 USD and will be shipped via USPS. 2nd and future orders can be a courier of your choice.
If you prefer to select your own carrier option, additional fees may apply.

If the customer prefers we can use a certain carrier for an order outside the Continental United States. You may be charged the actual cost of shipping, as it is quoted by DHL/UPS/FedEx/USPS (plus $2.00 handling fee). We cannot estimate these charges ahead of time since each order varies in weight and size and the charges vary from country to country. The actual cost will be charged to your credit card once your order has been processed and shipped.
Air Mail shipments made to Canada or Overseas have a minimum charge of $39.99 (USD). Please note that every package is weighed and measured to that the actual shipping charges will apply. Orders requiring multiple parcels for shipping will be charged based on the dimensions of each individual parcel. Cost of shipping cannot be estimated ahead of time due to the fact that each order varies in weight, dimensions of package size, value and Zip Code. Charges vary from country to country.
Due to "New Credit Card Policies" we are forced to change our policy for orders outside the Continental United States. With the exception of Canada, when using a credit card for payment the "shipping address" must be the same as the "billing address" which is associated with the credit card. If you choose to ship to another address other than the "Billing Address" you may do so by mailing in your order with a U.S. BANK MONEY ORDER DRAWN ON A U.S. BANK. Please be aware that this is for your protection as well as ours. For Orders Outside The United States, Customers are responsible for all Customs, Duties, Fees, and Taxes.
With the exception of Canada, orders outside of the continental United States must be shipped to the Credit Card Billing Address.
Freight Forwarder Policy
Users of this website (www.trainworld.com) shall indemnify TrainWorld of any liability for shipments that are sent to a Freight Forwarder. TrainWorld shall not be held accountable for any loss, damage or fraudulent activity of any kind for shipments sent to such addresses. This includes, but is not limited to, Freight Forwarders, Special Parcel Lockers, and/or any business or persons who assume responsibility for the delivery of a parcel beyond the shipping address provided to TrainWorld at the point of purchase. Any user that chooses to use the service of a Freight Forwarder, does so at their own risk.
Countries With Shipping Exceptions
In an ever-increasing effort to protect our customers, TrainWorld requires payment in US Funds via Money Order for customers who reside in the countries listed below. Please be advised that this policy is enforced for your first purchase with TrainWorld. If a good rapport is established, we may opt to accept credit card payments on future purchases. Belarus, Estonia, Ghana, Hungary, Indonesia, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Philippines, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovak Republic, Thailand, Uganda, Ukraine, Yugoslavia.
International Shipping Territories Service is NOT Available
Ascension, Central African Republic, Comoros, Cuba, Equatorial Guinea, Falkland Islands, Guinea Bissau, Iran, Iraq, Johnson Island, Kiribati, Korea, Libya, Marshall Island, Micronesia, Myanmar, Nauru, Niue, Pitcairn Island, Samoa, Sao Tome, and Principe, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, St. Helena, St. Pierre, Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Tokelau, Tristan Da Cuhna, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, Wake Islands, Western Samoa.
Effective Jan 1, 2020, all shipments to Brazil must include the recipient's Tax Identification (ID) number on customs declarations and shipping labels. Please collect this information from your Brazilian customers as any shipments missing the recipient's Tax ID will be subject to return, or even disposal, by Brazilian Customs. There are several different Tax IDs that can be used when shipping to Brazil, including · CPF - Individual Tax ID, similar to U.S.A.’s Social Security number · CNPJ - Business Tax ID · Passport Number How to include the Tax ID Number when preparing shipping labels & customs declarations to Brazil: · In the Company Name field, enter your recipient's Tax ID number: · For shipments without a company name, enter your recipient's Tax ID Number with a CPF prefix: CPF 000.000.000-00 · For shipments that include a company name, enter your recipient's Tax ID Number before the company name, separated with a dash: 000.000.000/0000-00 – My Company
Australia And New Zealand
Trainworld is only required to collect Australian
GST tax on orders that are below AUD $1000. If your order is above AUD $1,000, please be aware that GST will be collected by the Shipping Company, who may also add their own additional charges for this collection. These charges are payable by you the customer.
A minimum subtotal of $200 USD is required for all shipments to the United Kingdom.
TrainWorld reserves the right to ship a package using a courier of our choice for any reason, whatsoever.
Customers who refuse the delivery of a parcel for any reason, whatsoever, are responsible for the cost of shipping fees incurred to and from your destination, as well as a 15% restocking fee. Your credit card will be billed the appropriate amount for any refused delivery. A lot of time, effort, labor and materials go into every parcel we ship to you. Thank you for understanding.
In the event that a customer has entered the incorrect shipping address, and the delivery of a parcel requires an address correction, the customer is then responsible for any and all fees that are incurred thereafter. Your credit card will be billed the appropriate amount for any necessary address correction deemed by any courier.
Shipment Discrepancies or Damages
All claims for loss or damaged merchandise must be reported to TrainWorld within 5 days upon receipt / expected delivery. Please contact TrainWorld at 1-800-541-7010 or 1-718-436-7072 or email@example.com to report any issues.
Eligibility of insurance claims for loss or damage by the couriers requires you, the recipient, to provide TrainWorld with photos of the original shipping carton(s), the shipping label(s), and any damage sustained to the merchandise.
In the event that a shipment will have to be resent as a result of loss or damage by the courier, a signature will be required to complete the second shipment.
Any discrepancies or damages with shipments received must be reported within 5 days upon receipt. In the event an item(s) is damaged upon delivery, the wrong item(s) were sent, if there were any overages or shortages, please call TrainWorld at 718-436-7072 during business hours, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Shipping, handling, and insurance charges are non-refundable.
If you DO NOT request a signature service in the “Additional Order Information” field during checkout and a package is shown as “DELIVERED” on a courier's website, TrainWorld, and the COURIER assume no further responsibility regarding the location of the parcel. You may contact our claims department for assistance, however, we cannot guarantee that a claim will be granted, nor can we guarantee that a parcel will be found after it has been “delivered”. If you believe a parcel has been stolen after it has been delivered, you must contact the local authorities.
