Steam Locomotive
A steam locomotive is a locomotive that obtains its primary power from a steam engine. The most common form of steam locomotive contains a boiler to heat water to generate steam used by the engine. The water in the boiler is heated by burning combustible material – usually coal, wood, or oil in order to produce the steam.
