About James Wright:
James is a retired military member who currently works in Healthcare. His love for model railroading was sparked by childhood memories, which were further ignited when his cousin Chris sent him a DCC locomotive and controller in 2009. From there, James embarked on a journey that would bring him immense joy and creative fulfillment.
Modeling primarily in HO scale, James's dedication to the hobby is truly inspiring. He channels his passion through his YouTube channel, where he shares a wealth of information about model railroading in various scales. He started his channel out of a desire to find and provide information about model train products through product reviews. Because no one was producing product reviews on YouTube at the time, he wanted to make that available to all modelers while enjoying the capture of his progression as a modeler.
One of James' core goals is to help and support others along their modeling journey. With a relaxed yet descriptive approach, he tries his best to respond to everyone's questions and provide guidance. Looking to the future of the hobby, James is excited about the potential for more innovative use of modern technology. As the world progresses, he hopes to see the integration of cutting-edge techniques that will enhance the model railroading experience for enthusiasts worldwide.

Chris Raines - "RBP Trains"
About Chris Raines:
Chris Raines started the YouTube Channel - "RBP Trains", in the Winter of 2021. The Channel has been a way for Chris to connect with fellow hobbyists from all over the world and has also provided a start for new hobbyists and collectors of model trains. Chris is often known as "The Katy Guy" for the dark t-shirt that he wears in every video.
"I always liked The Katy logo from the M-K-T railroad. I just started wearing the shirt in my videos and it became a thing so I have stayed with it. The Katy has been iconic with Lionel since the Post War era and I have always enjoyed the appearance of the Texas Special and the Katy Heritage diesel locomotive."
"I have always enjoyed the creative side of this hobby and these engines really represent that for me. I hope everyone will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed designing it with the awesome team at Trainworld."

We are proud to be partnered with Chris Raines on our latest exclusive offerings! The inspiration for the custom offerings is that they represent RBP Trains. The Katy was a natural fit for the road name and the designs gave us an opportunity to get creative at the same time. The black coloring blends the RBP logo and the Katy scheme. Working with Chris Raines and Lionel on these offerings has been a fun collaborative effort. His first engine was a huge success which speaks volumes about how many people truly love the RBP Trains YouTube channel.
