Coal Dump Car
Aluminum Coal Hoppers are specifically designed to carry the most amount of coal in order to maximize efficiencies. The Coal is usually unloaded via hopper gates on the bottom of the railcar. Many coal hoppers are equipped with both gates for unloading the contents from the bottom, as well as rotary couplers, which allow the car to be dumped by rotating the entire car around and dumping its contents into a waiting bin.
