Log Cars
When railroads came to America in the late 1820's this new mode of transportation offered hope for the growing timber industry. Ironically, many years would pass before the iron horse could be effectively harnessed for logging applications. The problem lied where many of the operations were located, in rugged or rural countryside’s that were very difficult to reach.
