Body with double cab and platform in municipal orange. Orange transparent warning light inserted into the central base. Front headlight lenses inserted transparently, rear lights inserted red transparent. Interior gray-blue, chassis and steering wheel black-gray. Front and rear bumpers are white with red printed warning hatching, black rims with pastel orange hubcaps. Front VW logo printed in black, indicator surfaces red-orange. Maintenance of the new road network began with the T1-Doka
It was the VW T1 that accompanied the reconstruction and expansion of the German road network. At that time, the Dokas were purchased in batches for the fleets of construction depots in cities, districts and highways. Of course, painted in a warning pastel orange and enhanced with warning hatching on the bumpers, they then moved out - the platform always loaded with equipment for the next use. It is precisely the two-part vehicle look of the cab and the short platform that still makes the Doka so distinctive today.
