There is no longer a color taboo in agricultural machinery construction - black is beautiful. And so the Krampe Halfpipe dump truck appears in attractive black! Large-scale agriculture, civil engineering, but also landscaping and municipal businesses are increasingly relying on Krampe's halfpipe construction. WIKING realized the HP20, which as a functional miniaturization means a meaningful enrichment of multi-faceted subject areas on a scale of 1:87. According to the motto “Quality on wheels”, the Münsterland company Krampe from Coesfeld-Lette has been producing tub tippers for agriculture and forestry, the construction industry as well as for municipal and landscaping companies since 1983. Krampe adopted the semicircular trough from the truck sector as a completely harmoniously conceptualized design. By eliminating the longitudinal and cross members, the “halfpipe” has a lower weight compared to the conventional tipping body. This increases the payload of the vehicle - the permissible total weight of the model is 20 tons. The advantages in everyday operation are obvious: the bulk material slides over the trough wall at a flatter angle during loading. When transporting “big chunks” such as boulders, the trough is prevented from bulging. The round trough shape also prevents bulk goods from remaining in the corners of the trough. WIKING recreated the hydraulic cylinders on the front wall of the semicircular trough just as prototypically as the other details of the chassis and trough. This once again ensures the highest level of functionality in 1:87.
