Fuchs scrap grabber ended countless automobile lives

Reliable and with an ideal overview - that's how scrapyard owners liked it for decades. No wonder that the robust Fuchs F 301 duty cycle crane was widely used there. WIKING equips the new cable excavator with the associated high cabin and new scrap grab. The F 301 is considered the best-known Fuchs excavator today, with more than 15,000 units delivered over two decades. Looking back, the success may not be surprising, as the manufacturer continued to develop the excavator over the years of production and also offered numerous work facilities. Built right from the start in the Fuchs factory in Bad Schönborn, the Schaeff company took over Fuchs production in 1985, which in turn was integrated into the Terex group in 2002. WIKING has dedicated itself to the prototype version of the F 301 built between 1959 and 1970 - easily recognizable by the engine cover on the front right, which was intended for maintenance work on the prototype.
